The Rose Room

Ok, here it is, pictures of my sewing room, The Rose Room. Happily name for the roses on the chair and window seat and window treatments. It's a fun cheery room.

Here's the chair and a 1/2 that I rarely sit in, it looks nice though.

And here is my sewing machine on the table and my shelves with fabric and thread. I forgot to take a picture of my cutting table, I'll have to feature that at a later date.
I've started quilting Troy's quilt. I'll try to show progress on that tomorrow.

Stacked Coins Quilt

Here are some pictures of my stacked coins quilt. I just finished the binding last week, but had finished quilting it back in November. I got the pattern from Crazy Mom Quilts which was published on Moda Bakeshop. I used Moda's Eva by Basic Grey for this quilt, 2 charm packs and a yard for the binding, and then sashed it with Kona white. I quilted this one with little loops swirling around. I didn't realize that I was making such a tight quilting pattern when I started, but I really like it.

Here's a picture of the back.

Here's a close up on the swirly quilting.

My First Post

Well I created my blog yesterday and am posting for the first time today. I called my blog Rose Room Quilts because we call my sewing room the Rose Room, so I thought it was a good name. I'll attach some pictures of my room once I get it cleaned up. I'm busy now working on my son's quilt for his new twin size bed. Right now I'm at the basting stage so I have most of the floor taken up. I hope to finish that today so I can start quilting it. Here's a picture of the front of this quilt.
