My Bebe Dress

I completed my Bebe dress back in February, when it was cold and I had time to sew.  I had purchased the Bebe Dress pattern from Serendipity Studio's awhile ago.  I chose the Joel Dewberry fabric Ornate Floral in Amethyst and Ribbon Lattice in Fuchsia to make the dress.  I had procrastinated making the dress because I don't enjoy laying out and cutting out the pattern pieces.  But once I finally decided I was going to do it, it only took about a week to get together.  I thought the pattern and directions were well put together.

Here I am wearing the dress on Sunday.  It's a fun, happy dress.

Curve it Up Blocks using Quick Curve Ruler

I picked up this 1/2 yard bundle of Art Gallery fabrics at Sample Spree during Spring Quilt Market.  This is 9 (1/2 yards) of Modernology by Pat Bravo.  It's very fun and happy colors.

I had received the Quick Curve Ruler© from my husband for Christmas, but put it away thinking the patterns looked a little difficult.  While at Spring Quilt Market I got to meet the ladies of Sew Kind of Wonderful and watch the quick demo they were doing.  It looked easy.  So I picked up the "Curve It Up" pattern and decided to try it out.  My first couple of curves weren't perfect, it takes a little practice.  After about 3 tries the curves seemed to click and now it seems easy.

Here are my first 3 Nine Patch blocks from "Curve it Up".  I decided to pick just one of the 12 blocks out of the pattern and make a whole quilt from it.  I'm using Kona Iron Grey to mix with the Modernology.  I love
how they are turning out, and the curves are so fun.

Check out my website this week www.roseroomquilts.com and save 15% off the Quick Curve Ruler© and patterns.  Sale ends Monday, August 18th, 2014.

Dresden Pillow

Here's a picture of my completed Dresden Pillow using Flea Market Fancy fabrics.  I used the pattern in the PillowPop book which was fairly easy to follow.  I added a zipper to the back instead of just a flap closure.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  Finished size is about 18" x 18".  I used a 20" pillow form to make it look full.

There are a lot of great quilting/pillow patterns in the PillowPop book.

Gray Elephants on Parade

Here's my completed Gray Elephants on Parade Quilt.  I found a cute clip art image, then pulled it into my 6D Embroidery software and created an applique elephant in 2 sizes.  I love the cute elephants.  I used lots of my great gray fabrics.

I made a simple back with squares turned on point.
