I finished quilting this quilt this afternoon. I hurried up and made the binding and have it attached. I just need to hand sew it on. I used loops for the quilting this time. This quilt gave me some trouble earlier in the week. Well, my thread was giving me trouble because I was using the little thread guild on a big spool of thread. Every so often when I was quilting it would pull the thread underneath. I changed the needle, adjusted the tension, and was frustrated until I figured out what I had done wrong. Live and learn. I knew that thread guide was for bigger spools, I just wasn't using it. Sometimes you just have to go back to the basics.

We're off to go camping this weekend, so maybe I'll have time to finish the binding.

  1. What a lovely quilt---the colors are so VIBRANT and fresh:)

  2. Well done! Lovely colours! I just finished quilting one and attached the binding too, so I'll hand sew it tomorrow. Funny to think how many quilters were attaching bindings this afternoon...but is it actually night time here and I'm off to bed. Congratulations for your nice blog!

  3. I love those colors! What a pretty quilt....

  4. ohhh it is beautiful. I really want to learn to quilt one of my tops. Hopefully soon.
    Enjoy your camping weekend.

  5. This turned out so great! I love the loopy quilting!
