Sock Monkey Progress

I'm making some progress on the sock monkey blocks.  I have about 61 done so far. I'm going to intersperse the embroidered sock monkey block along with some 6" print blocks. 

And here's some chain piecing that I've been working on this evening.  I'm hoping to get the top completed within the next week.  I found the funky monkey print at Fabric Shack that was on clearance, so I'm going to use that as part of the backing.  

Quilt Top Finished

I finished my quilt top last night. I decided to do a little square border and realized I could do it using strip piecing. It went really quickly. I started on the back, I'm doing some wonky squares, but had a small set back today. More on that tomorrow.
