Bibs for Newborns in Need

Over the past couple of weeks I've been working on some bibs for Newborns in Need.  I volunteer with NIN once a month and we put together layette packages for families with newborns in need.  We always seem to be short on bibs, so I was having fun embroidering these cute designs.  I love the little robots.  Troy is really into robots lately so I have several designs.

The little lambs should be nice gifts for Easter.

A few Bibs for Newborns in Need

I whipped up 4 bibs yesterday to take to my Newborns in Need meeting tonight. I volunteer once a month with Newborns in Need, we make up Layette packages for babies whose families are in need or crisis. We always seem to be short on bibs, so I put a few together quickly. If anyone is interested in more info about a chapter of Newborns in Need in your area, check out the Newborns in Need website.

Bibs & Miscellaneous Block

Instead of working on a quilt this afternoon, I made a few bibs. I volunteer with Newborns In Need (www.newbornsinneed.org/swpa) once a month and we ran out of bibs. I wanted to try to make as many as I can to help out. I found this simple pattern at http://chickpeastudio.typepad.com/chickpea_sewing_studio/2008/01/chickpea-infant.html

Then I started working on ideas for my next quilt. I'm thinking about doing this whirly gig one, I tried it out at the 4 1/2" size, but I'm not sure if I should make each one a little bigger. I guess I'll think about it. I'm planning on using Denyse Schmidt Hope Valley for this one. I got some for Christmas and am ready to use it.
